Next weekend, our church will kick off the Diaper Derby for moms and families of CareNet Pregnancy Services. As a church, we will be collecting diapers, baby wipes, baby shampoo and wash, and formula. (Since babies are often allergic to generic supplies, the moms request brand name products if possible.) CareNet will keep a tally of the items donated by each church, and the churches which have donated the most will be recognized at CareNet’s annual banquet coming October 21.

Please save the date for upcoming Baby, Baby, Baby Shower on Monday, September 13, 7:00 p.m., when we will welcome the latest additions of the Harczos, Wezeman and Yirkovsky families. If you want to contribute to a group gift, please designate the name of the family/families on your contribution and place it in the offering no later than September 5, 2010. For additional details contact either Donna Iler or Nicole Schaefer.

This Sunday after the service is the potluck. Please bring an ample dish to share. Everyone’s welcome.

This Sunday bring non-perishable food for our food pantry to the kitchen.

There are some left over from Kids’ Club. If you would like to purchase any, they are $3.00 each. See Jenny Nagle.

Stop by the table in the foyer to register your K-5 child for West Sub’s children’s program. Club meetings are on Wednesday nights, 6:45—8:15. Kids will enjoy great songs, play games, earn awards for scripture memorization, and learn important Bible truths. Opening night is on September 8 and will feature the puppets.
